If you've lost property on the train, you should contact the relevant rail operator as soon as possible. Most rail companies operate a lost and found, and we've listed the lost property websites for most European rail operators below. Some rail operators require you to fill out an online form, while others provide contact information for individual train stations.

Lost property on Italian trains
Unfortunately, there is no central information point for lost and found items in Italy. If you've left an item at the station, you can try asking at staff at an information counter. Failing that, you should claim for its loss via travel insurance.
