Closure of Eurostar platforms at Ashford International and Ebbsfleet International Stations
From now until at least early 2022
During the COVID-19 pandemic , Eurostar stopped serving its two regular stopping points in Kent: Ebbsfleet and Ashford. We have been advised that these two stations will now not be served by any Eurostar trains until 2022. This means that the only station in England now served by Eurostar is London St Pancras International - from where direct trains still run to Brussels, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Lille and Paris.
Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International stations remain open and domestic trains run by other operators are still serving these stations as normal. It is only the Eurostar trains which are not stopping at Ebbsfleet and Ashford .
Withdrawal of Eurostar Direct Services to the Rhône Valley and the Mediterranean for 2020 and 2021
From now until at least spring 2022

During the COVID-19 pandemic , Eurostar cancelled its direct services from London to Lyon, Avignon and Marselle. We have been advised that direct services to the South of France are completely cancelled until at least spring 2022. Alternative routings from London, Ebbsfleet and Ashford to destinations in the Rhône Valley and the South of France are available via Lille or Paris.

Cancellations of Eurostar Winter Ski-Trains to the French Alps 2020-2021

From now until at least mid-December 2021

Eurostar has announced that no direct trains will run from England to the French Alps for the 2020/21 ski season. An announcement will be made in mid-2021 about a possible resumption of this service around Christmas 2021. Meanwhile, travellers keen to make winter journeys from England to the French Alps will find alternative itineraries, either travelling via Paris or alternatively with changes in both Lille and Lyon.

What to do if you experience a delay

Please speak to staff on the train or at the station if you are delayed. They will have the most up to date information and can tell you what to do. Also ask the staff to stamp your ticket with proof of delay. This will make it easier for you to travel on later trains.

Keep all of your tickets until you return home. They can be used to submit a claim to the rail operator if you incur any unavoidable additional costs (new tickets, taxis).

For more information, please see our Help article: What happens if I miss my connection. If you need to submit a claim, see: Submitting a claim to Eurostar.

If you have tickets for onward travel on trains which are scheduled to run as normal, refunds and exchanges are only permitted as per fare conditions.

Please note that this information is provided by the rail operator and cannot be guaranteed by Rail Europe UK.
