Eurostar: Delays & disruptions

Current disruptions


Ashford International stops until September
Until 31 August 2019
An amended timetable will be in effect at Ashford International until 31 August 2019. Affected trains will instead have a replacement stop in Ebbsfleet International.
If you are travelling on one of these services, you'll need to disembark at Ebbsfleet or London St Pancras and have your Eurostar ticket stamped by a member of staff to travel for free with a Southeastern service to Ashford. More information including a timetable of affected trains is available on the Eurostar website.

No travel from Ebbsfleet to Europe
Various dates in October and November

French border control authorities will not be present at Ebbsfleet International station, so services from the UK to France and Belgium will not be able to stop at this station. Full details of the disruption can be found on Eurostar's website.


Brussels engineering works
1-3 & 9-11 November 2019

It's not currently possible to book travel for these dates. Tickets will be available to book again once Eurostar finalise their timetables for these days. When this happens they will announce details on their Twitter page.


Eurotunnel engineering works
15-18 November 2019

It's not currently possible to book travel for these dates. Tickets will be available to book again once Eurostar finalise their timetables for these days. When this happens they will announce details on their Twitter page.

Various dates in January, February and March 2020

Because of planned maintenance in the Channel Tunnel, Eurostar is not selling tickets on trains running to and from Paris, Brussels and Disneyland ® Paris (Marne la Vallée-Chessy) in the following dates:

January 11, 12, 13, 25, 26, 27. February 8, 9, 10, 29. March 9, 10.


London - The Netherlands

Various dates until October 2019

Services are being altered or cancelled on the new route to and from Amsterdam. Some tickets will not be released for sale until the new timetable has been finalised. Please check Eurostar's website for specific details.


What to do if you experience a delay

Please speak to staff on the train or at the station if you are delayed. They will have the most up to date information and can tell you what to do. Also ask the staff to stamp your ticket with proof of delay. This will make it easier for you to travel on later trains.

Keep all of your tickets until you return home. They can be used to submit a claim to the rail operator if you incur any unavoidable additional costs (new tickets, taxis).

If you have tickets for onward travel on trains which are scheduled to run as normal, refunds and exchanges are only permitted as per fare conditions.
